Despite rain and puddles, we all managed to come out and have another game. This time, our newest player, Dewey, arrived with a solid pitch and the sweetest dog. Team 1, captained by Michael Beausoleil, kept their star under wraps though, almost costing the game to Team 2’s Douglas Thompson. However, Dewey’s return rallied Beausoleil’s squad and they pulled off with an intense 3-4 victory.

It was a rainy day, but we still managed to have our first challenge game with Michael’s Indiana Jones and the Last Inning, and CJ’s Romans. The outcome on the soggy asphalt came to a 13-0 blowout in favor of CJ’s Romans. The team captain’s sole comment on the game, ”We Are The Romans,” complimented his 15 K today. In the last inning of play, a single hit by Bo, the one hit wonder, upset Taylor’s no-hitter. Even after the arrival of power pitcher/hitter Dewey, Indiana Jones and the Last Inning failed to deliver after a solid week of trash talk and high expectations.
